Market update · October 2026

Material market: available, but prices remain under pressure

  • FR4 Standard material is available, no general shortage.
  • Copper 46 % above previous year's level.
  • Tight Final thicknesses from 2.0 mm, thick multilayer cores, prepregs 1080/106.
Read the full update

The supply of standard FR4 is currently secured; there is no general material shortage. However, laminate manufacturers are increasingly allocating their available volumes by priority.

At the same time, cost pressure remains high: following price increases in August, the next increases have now taken effect. Copper is currently 46 % above the previous year's level.

The situation is particularly tight for thick materials from 2.0 mm final thickness, thick multilayer cores and thin prepregs such as 1080 and 106, which are only available in allocated quantities.

HOTOPRINT continues to pass on only part of the increased material costs to its customers, aiming for the greatest possible planning security.
